Beware the Mathematician
Well, ChrisLaing.net finally has its new theme! It’s called Vitamin C, and its structure comes mostly from Ryan Hellyer’s Aqua Vaccinium theme.
Bludging off Ryan’s hard work really made my life easier
I also made use of Ryan’s Suckerfish plugin, but unfortunately I had to modify it quite a bit since it decided to throw a wobbly and destroy all my CSS.
I’m quite pleased with the end result, but I anticipate altering the theme in various ways over the coming months.

I’ve made a new CSS generator in case you feel like modifying your dropdown menu the easy way … http://ryanhellyer.net/dropdowns/

Nice work on customizing the theme and drop-down menu. Would love to see you implement a gallery plug-in so photos don’t open on new page. The “inline” WP photo-gallery is a good one and easy to use. Anyways… good work here, thanks.

Hi Pablo,
Thanks for your comment!
I’ve been thinking about the photo thing myself. The problem is that, at present, I’m using a photo importing plugin which extracts my photos from Facebook and updates them on my site.
I use this because my iPhoto will synchronise with Facebook, and Wordpress can grab photos from Facebook. However, the interface for uploading photos from iPhoto to Wordpress isn’t great, and I don’t know of any way to get Facebook to grab photos from a web server (in albums).
I plan to take a good look at the available gallery plugins and see if I can get them to display the photos which have been nabbed from Facebook. Then it’s a simple matter of disabling the pre-formatted page generated by my photo-grabbing plugin.

Chris,
You should install the new beta version of the dropdown plugin. The one you are using has a bug in the Javascript which causes some issues with IE7.
